Malachite is an attractive stone with a rich emerald green colour and white and dark bands throughout.
Malachite is a powerful stone but needs to be handled with care as in fine particles it is toxic. For these reasons it should never be placed in the mouth or further polished which would produce malachite dust.
Malachite is considered to be an excellent absorpsion stone for both negative energies and pollutants in the atmosphere. It helps clarify thoughts particularly during times of confusion. Malachite can also be used for scrying. Malachite aligns to the sacral chakra.
